What You'll Do as a Paratransit Driver:Safe & Reliable Transportation Services
  • Safely transport passengers to medical appointments, workplaces, educational facilities, community programs, shopping destinations, and other important locations
  • Ensure passengers arrive safely, comfortably, and on time
  • Follow established routes, schedules, and operating procedures
  • Operate company vehicles in a professional and responsible manner
  • Provide dependable transportation services while maintaining exceptional customer care
  • Adapt to changing schedules and passenger needs while maintaining service excellence
Passenger Assistance & Customer Service
  • Deliver outstanding service with patience, professionalism, and compassion
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles as needed
  • Safely secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices according to established safety standards
  • Provide a welcoming, respectful, and supportive experience for every passenger
  • Communicate effectively with riders, caregivers, dispatch personnel, and team members
  • Support passengers with diverse mobility and accessibility needs
Safety & Compliance
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, reports, and required documentation
  • Follow all company policies, transportation regulations, and safety procedures
  • Report vehicle maintenance concerns, incidents, and service issues promptly
  • Keep vehicles clean, safe, and ready for daily operation
  • Maintain the highest standards of passenger safety and care
Qualifications of a Paratransit Driver:
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assist passengers with mobility and accessibility needs
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
  • Ability to work independently and manage scheduled routes efficiently
  • Compassionate, professional, and service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to pass required background checks and screening requirements
  • Previous experience in transportation, healthcare, caregiving, customer service, senior services, or related fields is a plus but not required
