Position: Gastroenterologist
Location: Roseburg, OR
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Position Highlights

HealthPlus Staffing is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a well-established, growing gastroenterology practice in southern Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity to build a busy practice with strong referral support while enjoying an outstanding work-life balance in one of the Pacific Northwest's most scenic communities.

The incoming physician will benefit from a collaborative team, dedicated APP support, a procedure-focused schedule, competitive compensation, and additional ancillary income opportunities.

Practice Details
  • Full-time employed position
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Initial schedule includes 2 clinic days and 3 procedure/OR days, with the opportunity to transition to 1 clinic day and 4 procedure/OR days as the practice grows
  • Shared call schedule of approximately 6 days per month
  • Average call volume of approximately 4 patient calls per day
  • Additional call compensation available for physicians who choose to take extra call
  • General surgeons assist with GI call coverage when needed
  • Join an established team consisting of:
    • 1 full-time Gastroenterologist
    • 2 part-time Gastroenterologists
    • 2 outpatient Nurse Practitioners
  • Strong referral base serving a large regional patient population
  • Outpatient EMR: Epic
  • Inpatient EMR: MEDITECH (transitioning to Epic in Spring 2027)
Clinical Opportunity
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology services
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of digestive diseases and disorders
  • Perform upper and lower endoscopic procedures
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and provide longitudinal patient care
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, surgeons, APPs, and hospital staff
  • Participate in shared call responsibilities
  • Opportunity to build a high-volume procedural practice
  • Ancillary income opportunity available through participation in the outpatient surgery center management group
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $527,954 – $627,368 annually
  • Sign-on Bonus: $50,000
  • Relocation Assistance: Up to $23,077 (gross-up included)

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship
  • Oregon medical license or ability to obtain
  • DEA certification or ability to obtain
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
