Site Logistics and Yard Jockey Specialist

Picture your day at the Waltz Mill Service Center in Madison, PA: you arrive on site, sync up with the Material Handling Supervisor, and get the yard moving. From the seat of a powered industrial truck or the cab of a terminal tractor, you keep equipment, containers, and trailers flowing safely and on time. This is a contract role working on site.

You’ll be the go‑to pro for moving field service equipment and supporting facility operations across the Waltz Mill site. One moment you’re executing movement transactions in SAP and scanning materials for tracking; the next you’re delivering product to internal customers by forklift—or repositioning semi‑trailers with the Yard Jockey (Terminal Tractor) to keep operations humming.

• Operate powered industrial lift trucks to transport equipment and shipping containers around the Service Center and broader Waltz Mill site.
• Use the Terminal Tractor (Yard Jockey) to move semi‑trailers within the Service Center Area and throughout the site.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trucks carrying containers and equipment.
• Prepare outbound containers—inspect, mark, label, and weigh—so every shipment leaves compliant and ready.
• Track equipment and container locations as you move them across the site, maintaining visibility from dock to yard.
• Maintain records for container certifications and inspection history.
• Conduct pre‑use and daily inspections of handling equipment to confirm operational readiness.
• Perform SAP movement transactions and support internal deliveries to keep schedules on track.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years operating powered industrial lift trucks with a clean, accident‑free record.
• Class A driving experience and a clean driving record.
• High comfort level backing and maneuvering heavy machinery and trailers.
• Yard maintenance/yard operations or forklift experience.
• Basic computer proficiency, including SAP transactions and use of material‑tracking scanners.
