McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently seeking a Full-Time Behavioral Health Specialist to join our Residential program at our headquarters location in Charlotte, NC.
How will you help us achieve our mission?:   
  • Monitor clients during breaks between groups and activities.
  • Provide support to counselors.
  • Assist in planning groups and facilitating.
  • Assist in Coordination of care.
  • Assist clients in adhering to their daily schedule.
  • Prepare transportation vouchers and drug screening forms.
  • Transport clients to and from appointments and meetings
  • Assist with discharge planning as needed.
  • Turn clients’ bedrooms over as clients leave treatment.
  • Ensure all linens are laundered and stored for next use.
  • Review belongings of new admissions and note items not allowed in rooms, obtain emergency contacts for inclusion in chart.
  • Performs routine medication administration to clients/residents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ability to physically intervene in crisis situations, including separating individuals, providing emergency support in response to behavioral or medical emergencies, and ensuring patient and staff safety.
What are the qualifications needed for this role?
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required. Higher degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience specifically working with individuals facing substance use challenges.
