POSITION SUMMARY
Regal Staffing Services is currently hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for General Magnaplate, a manufacturing company specializing in engineered surface treatments and coatings for metal components.
The Shipping & Receiving Associate will be responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing customer orders for shipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials and finished products are handled safely and efficiently.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
- Compare incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
- Prepare finished products and customer orders for shipment.
- Package, label, weigh, and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Load and unload trucks safely using appropriate material-handling equipment.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records in the company system.
- Enter receiving and shipping information into the ERP/inventory system.
- Verify quantities, part numbers, labels, and documentation for accuracy.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials.
- Maintain organized inventory and properly store materials in designated locations.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and other departments regarding materials and shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Forklift experience required or strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, packing lists, and purchase orders.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
