Delivery Driver/Crane Operator (Class A CDL)

Position Summary
CDA Precast, LLC is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Delivery Driver/Crane Operator (Class A CDL) to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe loading, transportation, and delivery of precast concrete products to customer job sites using a knuckleboom crane truck. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a knuckleboom crane, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to job site safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL-required knuckleboom truck for the delivery of precast concrete products
- Load and secure precast materials in compliance with DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Operate the knuckleboom crane to unload and place materials at job sites safely
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, yard personnel, and customers
- Ensure proper delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures
- Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies
- Assist in yard loading operations when not on deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the assigned truck
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and medical card.
- Understanding of load securement and weight distribution
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor as needed
Preferred Experience
- Previous precast concrete delivery experience
- Construction or building materials delivery background
- Familiarity with job site safety protocols
- Knuckleboom crane certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience handling and securing heavy precast concrete products
- Ability to read load sheets and delivery tickets
- Communication and customer service skills
- Must know how to drive a manual transmission
