Job Description

Job Description
Position Overview

A well-established, multi-division construction and manufacturing firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead large-scale, technically complex projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys leading teams, and knows how to drive both schedule and financial performance.

You’ll be stepping into a role with real impact—working across field operations, fabrication, and leadership to deliver high-quality mechanical systems on some of the most demanding project types in the market today.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead full lifecycle project execution, from kickoff through final delivery

  • Own project financials including budgeting, forecasting, billing, and cost control

  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and procurement strategy to keep projects on track

  • Oversee scheduling, staffing plans, and field coordination

  • Drive preconstruction efforts including buyout, turnover, and planning meetings

  • Review and manage contracts, change orders, and project documentation

  • Partner closely with internal teams (field, VDC, fabrication, leadership) to ensure seamless delivery

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, and key stakeholders

What They’re Looking For
  • 15+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management

  • Proven track record managing large or complex commercial/industrial builds

  • Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, and cost control

  • Experience leading teams and mentoring project staff

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment

  • Familiarity with tools like Viewpoint, Bluebeam, and VDC/CAD coordination

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Exposure to complex, high-profile projects (including mission critical and advanced systems)

  • True in-house capabilities (fabrication, manufacturing, construction) = better control and execution

  • Clear path for long-term growth and leadership advancement

  • Strong emphasis on team culture, safety, and craftsmanship

  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced builders and decision-makers
