Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Part-time or Hourly Caregiver located in the Palmer and Wasilla area to support our clients with their daily needs. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with personal care, mobility, and daily activities.

Valid identification and eligibility to work

Responsibilities of Hourly Caregiver – Requirements & Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of caregiving experience preferred

  • PCA or CNA certification encouraged but not required

  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred/recommended

  • Must be an Alaska resident particularly in Palmer or Wasilla near location

  • Valid driver's license preferred

  • Reliable transportation preferred

  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable, responsible, and dependable

  • Ability to assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)

  • Ability to provide personal care and companionship

  • Able to assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

  • Able to assist with mobility and transportation needs

  • Willing to complete required pre-employment screening and background checks

  • Must be willing to attend required orientation and training

Experience

Candidates should have prior experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes. Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly valued. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, patient monitoring techniques, first aid and CPR certification, manual handling skills including heavy lifting and patient transfers such as Hoyer lifts are essential.
