Miscellaneous Metals Fabricator
Pay: $23-26/hr.
DescriptionCannonball Recruiting is seeking an experienced Miscellaneous Metals Fabricator for a growing fabrication shop in Pennsylvania.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment producing custom steel stairways, railings, ladders, and other miscellaneous metal components. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, welding experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and quality.
Experience- 3+ years of miscellaneous metals or structural steel fabrication experience preferred
- Experience fabricating stairs, handrails, ladders, platforms, and custom metal components
- Proficiency with FCAW welding; certifications are a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication details
- Experience operating fabrication equipment including saws, shears, press brakes, grinders, and welders
- Strong layout, fitting, cutting, welding, and finishing skills
- Experience working in a fabrication shop environment with changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Fabricate and assemble stairs, ladders, railings, and other miscellaneous metal products according to blueprints and shop drawings
- Perform layout, cutting, fitting, welding, grinding, and finishing of fabricated components
- Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet company and customer standards
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fellow fabricators to complete projects on schedule
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues and recommend practical solutions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Adapt to changing project requirements while maintaining quality and productivity
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven experience in miscellaneous metals fabrication
- FCAW welding experience required
- Ability to read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings and blueprints
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial environment
