Talent Acquisition Recruiter I Houston, TX Type: 6-Month Contract (Contract-to-Hire Possible) Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00/hr Work Model: Onsite (Hybrid Possible) Schedule: 9 Hours Monday - Thursday / 4 Hours Friday (Subject to Change) System One is seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for supporting full-cycle recruiting activities for engineering and technical positions. Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle recruiting for engineering and technical positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to source, screen, and recruit qualified engineering talent.
- Build candidate pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
- Review applications, work history, and employee status ratings.
- Ensure new hires complete onboarding tasks, including background checks, drug screens, I-9, and E-Verify compliance.
- Track and report staffing process data as needed.
- Perform administrative duties, including data entry, answering phones, taking messages, and filing.
- Develop job descriptions, screening questions, and sourcing tools specific to engineering positions.
- Source candidates from internal and external talent pools.
- Screen candidates to ensure qualifications for engineering positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand engineering disciplines, technical requirements, and experience needed for each position.
- Build pipelines of passive engineering talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, referrals, and other sourcing methods.
- Maintain candidate pools by department and geographic region.
- Recruit and assist hiring managers with offers of employment.
- Schedule candidates for processing and orientation.
- Update the Applicant Tracking System with candidate information and interactions.
- Attend job fairs and industry events.
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and managing requisitions.
- Recent experience recruiting engineering professionals.
- Experience recruiting Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural, I&C, Process, Piping, Project, or other engineering professionals.
- Experience building and maintaining pipelines of qualified engineering talent.
- Strong passive sourcing experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Nuclear engineering recruiting experience.
- Experience recruiting within Nuclear, Power Generation, EPC, Utilities, Heavy Industrial, or Industrial Construction environments.
- Experience recruiting senior and hard-to-fill engineering positions.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
- Knowledge of employment laws and compliance.
