Join us in Chicago, IL 60409 as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic focused on keeping our operation safe, efficient, and always moving. You’ll be the go-to problem-solver for complex equipment issues—diagnosing, repairing, and improving systems that keep production on track. To welcome you aboard, we offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus paid on your 30th day.

What a typical day looks like

• Start with proactive walk-throughs—inspect equipment, spot early signs of wear, and address safety items before they become downtime.
• Answer maintenance requests quickly, triage issues, and perform hands-on repairs across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs using ladder logic to pinpoint faults; work with 480V three-phase motors, VFDs, sensors, and control wiring.
• Support installs and startups of new machinery—rigging, alignment, wiring, and commissioning.
• Fabricate brackets/guards, perform stick welding as needed, and keep work areas organized and compliant with safety protocols.
• Document all activities—work orders, parts used, and preventive tasks—to build a strong maintenance history.
• Collaborate with teammates to refine PMs, share techniques, and elevate overall reliability.

Core capabilities you bring

• Refrigeration, hydraulics, and pneumatics experience required.
• Electrical and mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Comfort working on 120/208/240/480V systems and three-phase motors.
• PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic familiarity.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform equipment installation & wiring.
• Fabrication and stick welding capability.

Background and schedule

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Experience in a Maintenance Technician/Mechanic role or similar environment.
• Clear communicator and reliable team player.
• Flexible to support evenings/weekends when needed.
• Basic computer skills for CMMS/record-keeping and reporting.
