Accounting Specialist

Our Client has a temp to perm opportunity for an Accounting Specialist at its Atlanta, GA location. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 4 years in account reconciliation, general ledgers, financial reporting, month and year end closing, annual budgeting, and forecasting within a financial institution. Strong knowledge in financial ratio calculations, general banking regulations/laws/guidelines, GAAP, accounting principles and practices, and related procedures required. Great decision maker, critical thinker, presentation, interpersonal, detail oriented, communication, and organizational skills required. Proficiency in the utilization of Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Experience in FIS and BankTEL is a plus.

This role oversees various balance sheet accounts, reconciles records to GL, handles invoicing, monthly bank reconciliations, assist with forecasting, prepare annual budgets/call reports/regulatory reports, and month and year end closing, reviews/updates/monitors internal controls, prepares/analyzes/manages large data sets related to historical financial information, and handle additional accounting task as assigned in a professional and confidential manner within a fast paced environment. Position also uses good judgement, makes sound decisions, and adheres to all policies, procedures, expectations, laws, and regulations.
