We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Director of Maintenance to join our team and ensure that our facility operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. If you have a strong maintenance background and are committed to excellence, we want to hear from you!


Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year; full-time 37.5 hours per week

Schedule: Monday–Friday, primarily daytime hours, with the anticipated schedule generally falling within the daytime business hours. Schedule may be adjusted based on operational needs. On-call availability, including weekends and holidays, is required as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Inspections & Safety Oversight: Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure safety, upkeep, and operational standards, including checking equipment performance and facility appearance.

  • Maintenance Scheduling & Execution: Plan, prioritize, and oversee all maintenance and repair activities to ensure timely and high-quality completion.

  • Vendor & Contract Management: Supervise contracted services, ensuring they meet quality standards and are completed in accordance with established timelines.

  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections.

  • Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work complies with Local, State, Federal, and OSHA standards and regulations.

  • Emergency Response: Be available for on-call emergency situations and urgent maintenance needs as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience:

    • Extensive experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance is required.

    • Experience in skilled nursing facilities or long-term care (LTC) settings is a plus.

    • Supervisory experience within maintenance teams is required.

  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Proficient in MS Office and basic computer systems for record-keeping and communication.

    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

    • Solid knowledge of DOH, CMS, and Life Safety Code requirements.

    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize and perform well under pressure.

    • A demonstrated commitment to providing excellent service and maintaining high standards.
