Job Title: Pediatric Outpatient Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: 2211 Executive Dr. Hampton, VA (Outpatient Clinic)
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time



You will work closely with families and a collaborative multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, functional, and play-based therapy that builds lasting independence.

Salary range $40 - $44 Per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of children to assess physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities and limitations to determine their therapy needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that outline goals, interventions, and timelines for the child.
  • Conduct mobility, feeding, and cognitive tests.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to support the child’s development.
  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Teach parents how to perform exercises with their children and assist the child in completing exercises at home.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in therapy from an accredited program required.
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Virginia.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Therapy
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment and modalities.
  • Ability to adapt to the unique needs of each pediatric patient.
  • Dedication to exceptional patient outcomes and quality of care.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in administering various assessment tools, treatment plans and equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required.
  • Licensure: Valid Virginia State SLP License (or eligible to obtain before start date).
  • Experience: Strong preference for experience with pediatric ID/DD, autism spectrum disorders, and robust AAC deployment.
