Prince Frederick Animal Hospital is seeking compassionate, skilled, and experienced Veterinary Technicians and Assistants to join our dedicated team. We are looking for people who are passionate about high-quality patient care, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and take pride in their technical abilities.
Experienced Veterinary Technicians and Assistants are strongly encouraged to apply! Candidates with anesthesia, surgery, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory, and radiology experience are highly desired.

$Pay: $16-$18 HOURLY negotiable based on experience and qualifications
What You'll Do
Triage patients and obtain accurate medical histories.
Safely restrain dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and exotic pets.
Fill prescriptions and prepare medications and vaccines.
Perform cephalic, saphenous, and jugular blood draws.
Place IV catheters and administer fluid therapy.
Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures.
Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare outside laboratory samples.
Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Take diagnostic radiographs.
Maintain accurate medical records and enter charges.
Educate clients on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.

Work closely with veterinarians and support staff to provide outstanding patient care.
Previous veterinary technician or assistant experience preferred.
Strong technical and patient care skills.
Surgical and anesthesia experience is a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
