Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Miami, Florida. This position will support a broad range of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, I-9 proccesing, FMLA, ADA, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively partner with employees and managers at all levels. Strong knowledge of Florida employment practices and excellent communication skills are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities


Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation
  • Ensure completion of new hire documentation, including Form I-9 and required employment forms
  • Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements as applicable
  • Partner with internal departments to ensure new employees have appropriate systems access, equipment, and resources
  • Manage employee offboarding and termination processes

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns
  • Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management
  • Provide guidance to managers on HR best practices and company policies
  • Promote a positive, professional, and inclusive workplace culture

HR Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files
  • Assist with HR audits and compliance reporting
  • Ensure employment documentation is properly completed and maintained
  • Stay informed of changes to employment laws and HR best practices affecting Florida employers

Employee Engagement & Development

  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives
  • Coordinate employee events, company activities, and wellness programs
  • Assist with performance review and employee development programs
  • Analyze employee feedback and HR metrics to identify opportunities for improvement

HRIS & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate employee information within the HRIS
  • Process employee changes, including hires, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and terminations
  • Prepare HR reports and workforce analytics for management
  • Conduct periodic audits of employee data to ensure accuracy
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and HR administration
  • Working knowledge of federal and Florida employment laws and regulations
  • Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
  • Experience working in a multi-location or rapidly growing organization
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG, Paylocity, or Paycom
  • Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees
