Dispatcher

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

As a Dispatcher, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Customer Service Collaboration: Work closely with customer representatives to ensure communication of deliveries, optimize delivery schedules by phone, email, texts or customer online systems.
• Delivery Scheduling: Coordinate the scheduling of our drivers to ensure adherence to scheduled delivery times, factoring in truck capacity, delivery distances, loading and unloading times. Ability to handle emergency shipments as required.
• Driver Assignment: Communicate with drivers and provide clear instructions to ensure a successful delivery. Monitor and adjust driver schedules to cover required transportation commitments.
• Load Tracking: Monitor pick-up and delivery schedule of each load to maintain on-time delivery performance.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and promptly address any service issues.
• Process Optimization: Recommend process improvements to enhance the customer experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

• Educational Requirements: High School Diploma, Associates or Bachelors in Logistics desirable
• Experience: Trucking Industry operation or dispatch experience of 5 years or more
• Skills: Trucking industry knowledge, FMCSA, DOT; Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure; Microsoft Office Skills - Word, Excel; Team Building skills; Strong attention to detail and decision making; Understands scheduling and planning.
