Caregiver

Caregiver / Tutor Needed for a Wonderful 17-Year-Old Young Man

We are looking for a compassionate, trustworthy, and dependable Caregiver/Tutor to

work with our wonderful 17-year-old son with developmental disabilities.

He is independent, peaceful, calm, happy, and enjoys learning and engaging with

others. We are looking for someone who can provide educational support while

encouraging independence, responsibility, and confidence in a positive and structured

environment.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday (hours to be discussed)

Responsibilities:

• Provide educational support in:
• Reading
• Writing
• Mathematics
• Basic academic curriculum
• Create engaging indoor and outdoor educational activities.
• Plan fun recreational activities, games, and learning experiences.
• Encourage independence and positive life skills.
• Assist him with making his bed each morning.
• Help him organize and keep his bedroom clean.
• Prepare simple, healthy meals and light snacks for him.
• Encourage and assist him in cleaning the table and kitchen area after meals.
• Motivate and teach him to participate in age-appropriate household chores.
• Play board games, educational games, and interactive activities that promote learning and social development.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) experience is required.
• Current CPR Certification is required
• Patient, kind, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Able to provide clear expectations and follow through with consistency—kind but firm when needed.
• Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Dependable, organized, and able to follow directions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
