Senior Commercial Service Technician (Chiller)
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Commercial HVAC Chiller Technician installs, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains commercial and industrial chiller systems, including air-cooled and water-cooled units. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with large tonnage systems, controls, and preventative maintenance routines.

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform diagnostics, service, and repairs on commercial chillers (centrifugal, screw, scroll, and reciprocating).
- Troubleshoot and repair related HVAC components, including pumps, cooling towers, control systems, and motors.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Accurately document work performed, parts used, and system status.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, project managers, and customers.
- Ensure adherence to company performance, quality, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by supervisor or management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 10 year field experience with commercial HVAC systems.
- Minimum of 5 year experience specifically in chiller systems.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Familiarity with BMS and control systems is a plus
Physical Requirements:
During a 10-hour workday, must be able to:
- Lift/carry up to 25 lbs. frequently, up to 50 lbs. regularly, and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
- Stand, kneel, bend, climb, squat, and reach above shoulder for extended periods.
- Use upper extremities for grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine hand manipulations.
- Safely climb ladders up to 12 feet and work at elevated heights when required.
Work Environment:
- Field-based position with regular travel to customer locations.
- Safely navigate uneven surfaces.
- Occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed for emergency services or testing schedules.
- Work in confined spaces and at varying heights as required by the job.
- Work outdoors in extreme conditions (heat, cold, etc.) and in tight or confined spaces when required.
