Job Description
Talent Connections is leading a confidential retained search for a Head of HR, Americas with a global financial services organization located in Manhattan’s Financial District.
**MUST HAVE FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE**
This is a senior HR leadership opportunity supporting a significant, revenue-generating, client-facing business. The Head of HR, Americas will serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and help shape the organization’s people strategy across leadership effectiveness, organizational design, talent management, workforce planning, compensation, and business transformation.
The ideal candidate will bring deep financial services experience, strong executive presence, and a demonstrated ability to operate successfully within a complex, global, and highly matrixed organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior HR advisor to executive leadership on organizational strategy, leadership effectiveness, talent priorities, and people-related risk
- Translate business priorities into an integrated human capital and talent strategy
- Lead HR support for organizational design, restructuring, operating model changes, and transformation initiatives
- Advise on executive talent, succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and workforce capability
- Partner with Finance and HR leadership on strategic workforce planning and talent investment decisions
- Guide leaders through complex organizational change while supporting engagement, accountability, and business continuity
- Partner with Compensation on annual reward decisions, incentive programs, sales compensation, and pay-for-performance practices
- Provide counsel on complex employee relations, leadership performance, conduct, and other sensitive employment matters
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and other enterprise partners
- Use workforce data, business insight, and organizational analysis to influence senior leadership decisions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience in the financial services industry
- Significant experience serving as a senior HR Business Partner, HR executive, or Head of HR for a complex business or function
- Financial services industry experience required
- Demonstrated experience advising executive-level or C-suite leaders
- Experience supporting a revenue-generating, client-facing business such as sales, distribution, wealth management, institutional investments, client coverage, or another commercial organization
- Experience operating within a global and regulated environment
- Demonstrated expertise in organizational design, restructuring, business transformation, and change leadership
- Strong grounding in employee relations, employment law fundamentals, conduct matters, and people-related risk management
- Experience partnering on compensation strategy, incentive compensation, sales compensation, or performance-based reward programs
- Strong business acumen, financial acumen, executive presence, and organizational judgment
