Steel Erector

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Steel Erector to join our dynamic Field Crew team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and assembly of various steel framing and decking according to specifications, drawings, ensuring structures are erected safely, accurately, and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Arrive at work site and begin work at the appointed time.
• Install steel framing and decking according to specifications and OSHA standards.
• Identify and communicate safety hazards or risks to coworkers and foreman.
• Accurately record hours worked and corresponding job numbers.
• Layout components for cutting from raw stock with minimal waste.
• Operate stick weld equipment for assembly of carbon steel components.
• Collaborate with personnel to resolve on-site problems.
• Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
• Obey traffic laws and follow transportation procedures.
• Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, and basic vehicle maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in steel erection.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret dimensional data, and drawing symbols.
• Mathematical skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions.
• Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to manage elevated stress.
• Good personal organizational skills.
• Comfortable working at heights without fear that impedes mobility.
