Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a Structured Finance Associate with CLO experience to join a leading law firm’s New York office. This role focuses on the structuring, documentation, and execution of CLOs and other credit products, offering exposure to sophisticated, high-value transactions.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate CLOs, private credit facilities, and syndicated loan agreements
• Advise on credit insurance arrangements and structured finance transactions
• Support product development for new structured finance offerings
• Provide guidance on U.S. and cross-border regulatory considerations
• Manage transaction execution from documentation through closing
• Collaborate with investment, risk, and compliance teams

Qualifications

• Experience with CLOs and structured finance transactions
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills
• Background at a top-tier law firm preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• J.D. required; New York Bar admission required

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $225,000 – $435,000 + bonus (based on class year)
