Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

The Maple Shade First Aid Squad is seeking motivated and professional Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our community-based EMS team serving the residents and visitors of Maple Shade, New Jersey. Our agency responds to approximately 3,700 calls for service annually and is committed to delivering high-quality prehospital emergency care with a strong focus on teamwork, professionalism, and community service.

Compensation starts at $22.00 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following certifications and requirements:

• Current New Jersey EMT Certification
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
• Clean driving history
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate emergency vehicles
• CEVO or EVOC certification ( can be obtained for free from us)
• ICS 100 Certification
• ICS 200 Certification
• NIMS 700 Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments
• Commitment to patient care and community service
• EMS experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency medical calls
• Provide prehospital patient assessment and treatment
• Safely operate EMS vehicles when authorized
• Complete accurate patient care documentation
• Maintain equipment readiness and station responsibilities
• Participate in community events and public outreach
• Work collaboratively with fellow EMS providers, fire departments, and law enforcement agencies

All the Ambulance are less than 5 years old and equipped with Power stretchers and load systems. We welcome those with less experience and others looking to use all your EMT skills.
