Uni-Fab Industries is looking for an outstanding motivated person to manage the Mechanical & Electrical Assembly department. We are looking for the best to join our rapidly growing company

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and prioritize orders efficiently hit deadlines
  • Manage and solve problems throughout the assembly process to keep orders on schedule, within budget, and meet deadlines
  • Communicate and work with all departments as necessary to keep orders on schedule, within budget, and meet deadlines
  • Recommend, implement, and enforce solutions, procedures, and methods to improve quality and productivity as a result of post job analysis
  • Analyze production and individual work center capacity and make adjustments as necessary to meet production demands (i.e., hire, cross training, extending shifts, adding shifts, etc.)
  • Evaluate and establish effective plans to manage and optimize space requirements for assembly projects
  • Review, manage, and ensure proper labor and job cost reporting
  • Interview and hire quality employees
  • Conduct regular, structured employee evaluations to effectively evaluate and develop a trained staff
  • Responsible for planning, discussing and completing reports about the production and the staff
  • Lead and supervise a team of 20-25 personnel
  • Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance of the team
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures
  • Accountability for meeting and exceeding operational goals
  • Strategic planning and forecasting; appraise performance, resolve problems; and address staffing needs
  • Mentor, train and develop teammates for career progression and learning
  • Manage all Mechanical & Electrical Assembly
  • Manage BOMs and documentation of all assembled projects
  • Create Operational Method Sheet documentation

Technical Background: (Required Skill-set)

  • 8-10 years’ experience in contract manufacturing
  • Extensive Mechanical assembly background
  • Extensive Electrical assembly background
  • Electrical testing capabilities
  • Understands and has created OMS’s for assemblies
