About the Role:
Itchy Pooch Inc is looking for an experienced Pet Groomer to join our passionate mobile pet grooming team based out of Hanford, CA! Responsibilities:
- Perform full-service grooming including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, and styling for dogs and cats
- Trim nails, clean ears, and perform other finishing services as needed
- Assess each pet's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments
- Safely handle pets of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized grooming station and salon area
- Communicate professionally with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and pet health observations
- Operate and maintain grooming tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Take accurate notes of grooming
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a professional pet groomer
- Proficiency in breed-specific cuts and grooming styles
- Ability to safely handle and restrain pets of various sizes and temperaments
- Strong knowledge of grooming tools, products, and techniques
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented work ethic
- Genuine love and compassion for animals
- Clean record
