Position Summary
The Skilled Craftsman will perform a wide variety of residential and commercial repair, maintenance, remodeling, and installation projects. This role requires expertise in multiple trades, excellent customer service, and the ability to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, trim, and finish work
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, shelving, and hardware
- Complete minor plumbing and electrical repairs (where permitted by law)
- Perform remodeling, renovation, and repair projects
- Diagnose maintenance issues and recommend effective solutions
- Read blueprints, work orders, and project specifications
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialty equipment safely
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within quality standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding project progress
- Load, transport, and organize tools and materials
- Follow OSHA safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used
- Work independently while collaborating with team members as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in residential or commercial construction, remodeling, maintenance, or general contracting
- Strong knowledge of carpentry and multiple skilled trades
- Experience with drywall, painting, flooring, trim, and finish work
- Basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
- Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and construction drawings
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional appearance and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening (if applicable)

Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 75 pounds regularly
- Stand, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work overhead for extended periods
