Bredernitz Wagner & Co PC is looking for a detail-oriented Client Accounting Specialist to join their team in Howell, MI. Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and client accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Generate financial reports and statements for client review
- Communicate directly with clients to resolve accounting discrepancies and answer inquiries
- Support tax preparation efforts by organizing and verifying financial data
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines
