Investigations, White Collar & Fraud Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking an Investigations, White Collar & Fraud Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in Los Angeles, California.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 3+ years of experience in white collar defense, government investigations, or regulatory enforcement to join a nationally recognized Investigations, White Collar & Fraud practice. The team represents corporations, executives, and individuals in complex civil and criminal investigations, internal investigations, and regulatory enforcement matters before federal and state agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Represent corporate and individual clients in civil and criminal investigations.

  • Defend clients in federal and state regulatory enforcement matters.

  • Conduct internal investigations involving allegations of fraud, misconduct, and regulatory violations.

  • Draft legal memoranda, motions, briefs, investigative reports, and other substantive legal documents.

  • Conduct witness interviews, manage document reviews, and assist with fact development.

  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance, enforcement risk, and investigative strategy.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary legal teams on high-profile and sensitive matters.

  • Work directly with clients throughout all phases of investigations and enforcement proceedings.

Qualifications
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • Active membership in the California Bar.

  • 3+ years of experience in white collar defense, government investigations, regulatory enforcement, or related litigation.

  • Experience at a national law firm, as a prosecutor or government enforcement attorney, and/or service as a judicial law clerk is strongly preferred.

  • Experience representing clients in civil and criminal investigations and enforcement proceedings.

  • Excellent legal research, analytical, drafting, and advocacy skills.

  • Outstanding academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to exceptional client service.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $260,000-$310,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
