Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate to join a leading law firm in Fort Lauderdale. This role offers hands-on experience handling high-stakes, complex commercial litigation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of complex commercial litigation
• Draft and argue substantive and dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions (including experts)
• Handle discovery and e-discovery processes
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
• Work directly with clients on case strategy

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of litigation experience (law firm or clerkship + firm)
• Experience with complex commercial matters preferred
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
• Experience in state and federal courts
• Florida Bar admission required (or eligibility)
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently
