Lead HVAC SERVICE TECH
MAJOR HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING, a pioneering HVAC company since 1970, is seeking dynamic and experienced Service Technicians for our Denver, Colorado office. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will work with various system components to maintain, diagnose, and resolve HVAC system issues. This includes replacing parts and adjusting system controls for optimal performance using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
Job Duties:
- Perform preventive maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
- Troubleshoot and replace defective parts in non-working units.
- Install refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, pneumatic control, and humidity control systems.
- Understand and troubleshoot:
- Steam and Hot Boilers
- Chillers
- Rooftop Units
- Air Handling Units
- Wet Systems
- Cooling Towers
- VAV Boxes
- Variable Frequency Drives
- Build strong customer relationships and understand new and existing customer needs and expectations.
- Minimum of 5 years of HVAC experience.
- NATE Certification
- Knowledge of HVAC theory, methods, practices, tools, and equipment.
- Possess basic hand tools.
- Universal EPA Certification.
- Understanding of refrigeration, pneumatic/DDC control, and air conditioning systems.
- Basic knowledge of electricity and control systems.
- Ability to apply HVAC mechanical theory and techniques.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, lift, and move heavy objects.
- Trade school education preferred.
- Journeyman license preferred but not required.
- Chiller experience is a plus.
