Structural Welder

Job Title: Structural Welder / Fitter AWS D1.1

Location: Orlando, FL

Pay Rate:$20.00/hr. - $27.00/hr. + DOE

Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Overtime as needed)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience as a Structural Welder / Fitter AWS D1.1
• Proficient in blueprint reading and weld symbols
• Ability to perform welds meeting AWS D1.1 (X-ray, MT, PT standards)
• Experience with layout, fit-up, and structural fabrication
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder / Fitter AWS D1.1 to join our team. The Structural Welder / Fitter AWS D1.1 will be responsible for reading blueprints, performing layout and fit-up, and executing high-quality welds that meet customer specifications and AWS standards. This role requires strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform layout, fit-up, and welding of structural materials per prints and specifications
• Interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately
• Ensure weld quality meets AWS D1.1 standards and inspection requirements
• Operate tools such as drill presses, grinders, saws, and hand tools
• Safely use forklifts, cranes, and shop equipment
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements
