About the PracticeThe Corporate Restructuring group in Chicago advises clients on complex in-court and out-of-court restructurings involving distressed companies, creditors, sponsors, and investors. The practice handles a wide range of liability management transactions, bankruptcy-related matters, and negotiated restructurings across industries.
Attorneys in the group regularly work on high-profile matters involving both company-side and buy-side strategies, including 363 sales, plan sponsorships, and creditor-side representations.
Who We’re Looking ForWe are seeking an associate attorney with approximately 5–8 years of experience in corporate restructuring and distressed transactions.
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
- In-court and out-of-court restructurings
- Company-side and buy-side/distressed investor representations
- 363 sale processes and plan sponsorships
- Liability management transactions
- Creditor and lender-side advisory work
Candidates should have strong academic credentials, substantial restructuring experience at a peer firm, and the ability to manage sophisticated, high-pressure transactions in a collaborative environment.
CompensationThe expected base salary range for this position is $310,000 to $435,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on experience and other job-related factors in accordance with applicable law. This role may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
