Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Probate Attorney for its client's Miami office.

Probate Attorney

Miami, FL | Remote or Hybrid | 3+ Years of Experience

Position Summary

A boutique law firm in Miami is seeking a Probate Attorney with at least three years of experience to manage estate administration and probate litigation matters from intake through resolution. This is a high-autonomy role with meaningful client contact and court exposure. The position can be structured as fully remote or hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of probate and estate matters, including formal and summary administration, ancillary administration, guardianship, and trust administration.

• Prepare and file petitions, inventories, accountings, and other pleadings required throughout the probate process.

• Advise personal representatives, trustees, guardians, and beneficiaries on their duties and options.

• Handle contested matters, including will and trust disputes, creditor claims, and fiduciary litigation.

• Counsel clients with empathy and clear communication through emotionally sensitive, high-stakes situations.

• Coordinate asset transfers, creditor notices, and distributions in compliance with Florida law.

• Manage deadlines, court filings, and case documentation accurately and on time.

• Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and colleagues to deliver responsive service.

Qualifications

Licensure: Active member of The Florida Bar in good standing.

Experience: 3+ years of probate, estate administration, or trust experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage matters independently.

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the Florida Probate Code, Florida Trust Code, and local court procedure.

Skills: Excellent written and oral advocacy, drafting, and client-counseling skills.

Work style: Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote or hybrid setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish (native or near-native fluency).

• Florida Bar Board Certification in Wills, Trusts & Estates, or progress toward it.

• Estate planning or tax experience, or an LL.M. in Taxation.

• Familiarity with family law matters, given the firm's combined practice.

• Comfort with cloud-based case management and e-filing tools.
