Job Description
Direct Counsel is seeking a Capital Markets Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in New York, New York; Washington, D.C.; or Charlotte, North Carolina.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 2+ years of capital markets or real estate finance experience to join a nationally recognized Capital Markets practice. The team advises clients on sophisticated commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and commercial mortgage securitization transactions, providing associates with substantial client interaction and meaningful responsibility on complex financing matters.
ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in commercial mortgage securitization and capital markets transactions.
Draft and review disclosure documents and offering materials for securitization offerings.
Advise clients on commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) transactions.
Collaborate directly with clients throughout all phases of capital markets transactions.
Conduct legal research and assist with transaction structuring and execution.
Review financing documentation and support transaction closings.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams on sophisticated real estate finance and capital markets matters.
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active membership in a U.S. state bar.
2+ years of experience in capital markets, real estate finance, or commercial lending.
Experience with commercial mortgage securitization or structured finance transactions is preferred.
Familiarity with commercial real estate is preferred but not required.
Excellent legal research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
Strong academic credentials and the ability to manage multiple complex transactions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Salary: $235,000-$310,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
