Capital Markets Associate Attorney (2-5 Years)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Capital Markets Associate Attorney to join a highly respected Am Law firm.

Direct Counsel is partnering with a global law firm to identify a mid-level associate for its Chambers-rated Capital Markets practice. This is a strong opportunity to work on sophisticated structured finance transactions alongside a highly regarded team with decades of market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent purchasers, sellers, servicers, creditors, and borrowers in structured finance transactions
• Advise banks, financial institutions, private equity funds, hedge funds, and public/private companies
• Draft and negotiate primary transaction documents, including:
  • Purchase and sale agreements
  • Servicing agreements
  • Financing documents
• Manage transaction processes and coordinate closings
• Communicate directly with clients and counterparties
• Collaborate with deal teams to execute complex transactions

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of law firm experience in structured finance or capital markets
• Experience with securitization and structured finance transactions preferred
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
• JD from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York Bar

Compensation:

• Salary range: $235,000 – $365,000 (based on experience)
• Bonus eligible with a comprehensive benefits package
