Corporate Associate (Midlevel) - Los Angeles

Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm seeking a mid-level Mergers & Acquisitions Associate to join its Corporate Practice Group in Los Angeles. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a nationally recognized team on sophisticated corporate transactions across industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle M&A transactions, including drafting and negotiating primary deal documents.

• Lead due diligence processes and oversee deal execution.

• Manage transaction timelines and coordinate internal legal specialists and junior associates.

• Interact directly with clients and take significant ownership of work product.

• Advise clients on general corporate matters in connection with transactions.

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of experience in a corporate practice, focusing on mergers and acquisitions.

• Strong academic background and excellent legal drafting, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Proven track record of assuming responsibility in complex transactional work.
