Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join the Litigation Practice of a leading Am Law firm in Dallas. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 3–5 years of sophisticated commercial litigation experience who is looking to work on high-stakes disputes, enforcement actions, and class action litigation for major financial institutions and corporate clients.
The ideal candidate has experience handling complex, high-exposure litigation and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with significant client interaction and responsibility.
Responsibilities- Represent financial institutions and corporate clients in complex commercial litigation, enforcement actions, and class action matters.
- Manage cases through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and appeals.
- Draft and argue motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation filings.
- Conduct legal research and develop strategic litigation positions for sophisticated business disputes.
- Collaborate with partners, clients, and multidisciplinary legal teams to develop practical, results-oriented litigation strategies.
- Participate in client meetings, case strategy discussions, and other high-level litigation activities.
- Manage multiple complex matters while maintaining exceptional client service and work product.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience at a first-tier law firm.
- Experience handling sophisticated, high-exposure litigation matters.
- Judicial clerkship experience is highly valued, though not required.
- Excellent legal research, writing, oral advocacy, and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, business professionals, and litigation teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Active membership in the Texas Bar.
