Location: Nashville, TN
Direct Counsel is seeking a Healthcare Regulatory & Enforcement Associate Attorney with 3–6 years of experience to join a nationally recognized healthcare practice in Nashville. This role offers the opportunity to advise healthcare providers and organizations on complex regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters within a collaborative and sophisticated team environment.
ResponsibilitiesAdvise healthcare clients on day-to-day operational and regulatory matters, including provider and facility licensing.
Counsel clients on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues.
Provide guidance on compliance with federal and state healthcare laws, including the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statutes, and fraud and abuse regulations.
Conduct regulatory risk assessments and assist with enforcement-related matters.
Support healthcare transactions by advising on the regulatory aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
Assist with healthcare compliance programs, privacy issues, and fraud, waste, and abuse analysis.
Draft memoranda, regulatory analyses, and client communications.
3–6 years of healthcare regulatory experience at a reputable law firm.
Demonstrated experience in healthcare compliance and regulatory counseling.
Experience with facility licensing, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, fraud and abuse laws, and healthcare privacy strongly preferred.
Strong academic credentials and excellent drafting skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Active Tennessee Bar membership or ability to waive in required.
Must reside in the Nashville area and be able to work in-office at least three days per week.
