Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Binghamton General Hospital (OR)
We’re hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in our Binghamton General Hospital Operating Room
The Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) this Operating Room (OR) unit protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families.
Position Overview
Provides personal care and health teaching under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to meet the needs of patient and family, consistent with the policies and procedures of the Nursing Division and United Health Services Hospitals. Promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Under general direction, observes and practices sterile technique, maintains asepsis, anticipates, and assists the surgeon as needed. Actively participates in patient care and safety. Utilizes OR supplies conservatively and operates as a team member of the OR staff.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- Graduated an accredited school of Practical Nursing
Preferred:
- Previous clinical experience in a hospital setting
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
- Current New York State Practical Nurse License or Permit
- CPR Certification within 3 months of hire
