Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a mid-senior level Corporate M&A Associate to join a leading law firm. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated public M&A and take-private transactions across multiple offices and industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead M&A transactions from inception through closing
• Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements and deal documents
• Manage due diligence teams and processes
• Advise on corporate governance matters
• Collaborate across offices and practice groups

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of M&A and corporate transaction experience
• Experience with public M&A and take-private deals preferred
• Strong drafting, deal management, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage complex transactions independently
• Strong academic credentials and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

• NYC Salary Range: $320,000 – $410,000 + bonus (varies by location)
