The Los Angeles Unified School District, One of the Largest School Districts in the Country, is seeking Certified and Credentialed Candidates for a Full-Time School Psychologist position for the 2016 - 2017 School Year.


As a School Psychologist Certified Staff Member you will be responsible for:

• Providing psychological services to general education students and students with disabilities
• Conducts psycho-educational assessments to assist in determining eligibility for special education services and the development of educational programs
• Consulting with school personnel, parents and others concerned with the progress of students
• Providing individual and group counselling sessions.
• When qualified, provides such services in the student's primary language or to deaf children using communication skills for the deaf when appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Successful experience as a school psychologist, school counsellor, or teacher in a public school setting
• Successful full-time public school service in a certified position(s) in programs and/or services involving exceptional students
• Required: PPS Credential-General Pupil Personnel Services credential authorizing service as a School Psychologist
• Knowledge and experience establishing and implementing a school-wide RtI/SST Model
• BCBA
