Real Estate Associate Attorney – Midlevel

Direct Counsel is representing an AmLaw 50 firm seeking a Midlevel Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its New York office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 3–5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle lender-side real estate financing transactions, including drafting and negotiating loan documents
• Review title commitments, surveys, leases, zoning reports, and opinion letters
• Manage purchase and sale transactions, including due diligence, contract negotiation, and closings
• Draft and negotiate commercial leases on behalf of landlords and tenants
• Collaborate with clients and attorneys on sophisticated real estate transactions

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
• Experience with financing, acquisitions and dispositions, and commercial leasing
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong academic credentials from a top-tier law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000 annually, depending on experience
