Commercial Litigation Senior Associate Attorney
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $310,000 – $330,000 + Bonus

Direct Counsel is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Associate to join a prestigious Am Law firm in Los Angeles. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator to take on a leading role in sophisticated commercial litigation matters, working directly with clients and partners on complex disputes from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of complex commercial litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and resolution.
  • Draft, argue, and respond to substantive motions and briefs in both state and federal courts.
  • Take and defend depositions, manage written discovery, and oversee document review and production.
  • Prepare pleadings, briefs, court filings, and other litigation-related documents with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and clients to develop litigation strategies and provide practical, business-focused legal counsel.
  • Mentor junior associates and coordinate effectively with litigation support teams and other legal professionals.
  • Handle multiple active matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and client service.
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar admission or the ability to obtain admission promptly.
  • 6+ years of commercial litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Significant experience handling motion practice, discovery, depositions, and overall case management.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and client relationship skills.
