Job Description
On behalf of a confidential client, L&W Recruiting is seeking a plaintiff-side litigation attorney for the Culver City (Los Angeles) office of a well-established national firm devoted entirely to representing victims of mesothelioma and asbestos-related cancers. The firm's identity is shared with qualified candidates.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Carry your own docket of asbestos and toxic-tort matters from intake through discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial
- Sit down with clients and families to document work and exposure histories, backed by the firm's in-house investigators
- Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses, corporate representatives, and medical experts
- Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and substantive motions
- Handle asbestos bankruptcy-trust submissions alongside active litigation
Who Fits:
- Active California bar (required)
- Plaintiff-side experience in personal injury, mass tort, toxic tort, or asbestos litigation preferred; medical-records or product-identification depth is a plus
- A compassionate communicator, comfortable working with seriously ill clients
- Strong writing and deposition skills
