Healthcare Regulatory Career Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Healthcare Regulatory Career Associate Attorney to join the FDA & Healthcare Regulatory practice of a prestigious Am Law firm in Boston, Massachusetts.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3-5 years of healthcare regulatory experience to join a nationally recognized healthcare practice. This is a long-term, non-partnership-track Career Associate position focused on advising innovative healthcare, health technology, and digital health companies on complex regulatory and compliance matters.

Responsibilities
  • Advise healthcare, health technology, and digital health clients on a broad range of healthcare regulatory matters.

  • Counsel clients on healthcare regulatory issues involving artificial intelligence, telehealth, fraud and abuse laws, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, corporate practice of medicine, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, scope of practice, and Sunshine Act reporting.

  • Research and analyze federal and state healthcare statutes, regulations, and regulatory guidance.

  • Prepare and coordinate state regulatory filings and licensing-related submissions.

  • Assist clients in maintaining state and federal regulatory compliance by identifying ongoing compliance obligations.

  • Support healthcare-related transactional matters by providing regulatory due diligence and strategic guidance.

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on sophisticated healthcare regulatory and compliance projects.

  • Deliver practical, business-oriented legal advice while managing multiple client matters.

Qualifications
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • Active membership in the Massachusetts State Bar or eligibility to practice in Massachusetts.

  • 3-5 years of healthcare regulatory experience at a law firm, regulatory agency, healthcare organization, or similar entity.

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting state healthcare statutes and regulations.

  • General knowledge of HIPAA and FDA regulatory frameworks is preferred.

  • Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and writing skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work product.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $200,000-$246,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
