Job Description
Direct Counsel is seeking a Healthcare Regulatory Career Associate Attorney to join the FDA & Healthcare Regulatory practice of a prestigious Am Law firm in Boston, Massachusetts.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3-5 years of healthcare regulatory experience to join a nationally recognized healthcare practice. This is a long-term, non-partnership-track Career Associate position focused on advising innovative healthcare, health technology, and digital health companies on complex regulatory and compliance matters.
ResponsibilitiesAdvise healthcare, health technology, and digital health clients on a broad range of healthcare regulatory matters.
Counsel clients on healthcare regulatory issues involving artificial intelligence, telehealth, fraud and abuse laws, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, corporate practice of medicine, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, scope of practice, and Sunshine Act reporting.
Research and analyze federal and state healthcare statutes, regulations, and regulatory guidance.
Prepare and coordinate state regulatory filings and licensing-related submissions.
Assist clients in maintaining state and federal regulatory compliance by identifying ongoing compliance obligations.
Support healthcare-related transactional matters by providing regulatory due diligence and strategic guidance.
Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on sophisticated healthcare regulatory and compliance projects.
Deliver practical, business-oriented legal advice while managing multiple client matters.
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active membership in the Massachusetts State Bar or eligibility to practice in Massachusetts.
3-5 years of healthcare regulatory experience at a law firm, regulatory agency, healthcare organization, or similar entity.
Experience reviewing and interpreting state healthcare statutes and regulations.
General knowledge of HIPAA and FDA regulatory frameworks is preferred.
Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work product.
Salary: $200,000-$246,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
