Labor & Employment Associate (Mid to Senior Level) - Los Angeles

Direct Counsel is representing an Amlaw 100 firm seeking a Mid- to Senior-Level Labor & Employment Associate to join their Los Angeles or Orange County offices. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity with competitive compensation ($225,000–$365,000) and a comprehensive benefits package. The associate will work with a diverse client base across multiple industries, handling complex labor and employment matters.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in labor and employment law, including wage & hour class action and PAGA matters. Candidates should have strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills, demonstrate attention to detail, and possess the initiative to take ownership over their work and career. Responsibilities include representing employers on both individual and class claims, including:

• Wage and hour compliance

• Employment discrimination and harassment claims

• Retaliation and leave issues

• Employee accommodations and personnel policies

• Employment agreements and other labor/employment matters

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of labor & employment law experience

• Wage & hour class action and PAGA experience required

• Strong analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage complex matters independently and collaboratively
