Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is representing an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join its New York office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 5–7 years of general commercial litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of complex commercial litigation in New York state and federal courts
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Take and defend fact and expert depositions
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy
• Collaborate with clients and attorneys on sophisticated litigation matters

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of commercial litigation experience
• Experience practicing in New York state and federal courts
• Strong motion practice, discovery, and deposition experience
• Experience with real estate and finance litigation is preferred
• Trial experience is a plus
• Large law firm experience strongly preferred
• Strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active New York Bar admission

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $250,000 – $280,000 annually, depending on experience
