Job Description
Direct Counsel is seeking a Capital Markets – Real Estate Finance Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in New York, New York.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 4+ years of real estate finance experience to support a sophisticated commercial mortgage securitization practice. This non-partnership track position offers significant client interaction and responsibility for drafting and reviewing disclosure documents in connection with complex commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) transactions.
ResponsibilitiesSupport commercial mortgage securitization and capital markets transactions.
Draft and review disclosure documents and offering materials for CMBS offerings.
Advise clients on commercial real estate finance matters related to securitization transactions.
Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance on structured finance matters.
Review loan documentation and assist with transaction diligence.
Collaborate directly with clients and transaction teams throughout all phases of securitization transactions.
Assist with transaction management, documentation, and closing coordination.
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active membership in a U.S. state bar.
4+ years of experience in real estate finance, structured finance, capital markets, or commercial mortgage securitization.
Experience with commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) transactions is preferred.
Familiarity with loan-level due diligence is a plus.
Excellent legal research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
Strong academic credentials and demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated financing transactions.
Salary: $100,000-$430,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Non-partnership track position.
