Advise Leading Employers on Complex Workplace and Litigation Matters

What You'll Do
  • Provide day-to-day employment counseling to employer clients.
  • Advise on wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and workplace law matters.
  • Represent employers in employment litigation and administrative proceedings.
  • Handle class and collective wage and hour actions.
  • Serve as lead litigation counsel on employment disputes.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, legal memoranda, and employment-related agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
  • Counsel clients regarding New York State and New York City employment regulations.
  • Assist employers with labor relations and workforce management issues.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive legal guidance.
What You'll Bring
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active New York Bar admission.
  • 4–8 years of Labor & Employment law experience.
  • Significant employment counseling experience.
  • First-chair litigation experience involving discrimination and wage & hour claims.
  • Experience managing employment litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Class action and collective wage & hour litigation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of New York State employment law and New York City employment regulations.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, advocacy, and communication skills.
  • Strong academic credentials.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hospitality industry employment law experience.
  • Labor relations experience.
  • Familiarity with the New York State Hospitality Wage Order.
  • Experience representing restaurants, hotels, entertainment venues, or hospitality employers.
