POSITION OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling asbestos litigation, toxic tort defense, products liability, and industrial operations matters, including managing sophisticated exposure-related litigation from inception through trial preparation. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with national counsel, insurers, and major corporate clients on complex, high-exposure matters while serving as a key member of a collaborative litigation team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all phases of complex litigation from initial case evaluation through trial preparation
- Develop and execute strategic defense plans in exposure-related and product liability matters
- Conduct depositions, hearings, and motion practice
- Coordinate and manage large-scale discovery efforts
- Work closely with expert witnesses and consultants in scientific and technical disciplines
- Collaborate with national counsel, insurers, and corporate legal teams
- Provide strategic updates and guidance directly to clients
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 7 years of litigation experience
- Significant experience in eminent domain and land-use litigation
- Experience representing condemning authorities throughout the condemnation process
- Strong background in complex commercial litigation
- Ability to independently manage high-stakes matters and client relationships
- Excellent analytical, strategic, and advocacy skills
